Sam A. LeBlanc was born in Paincourtville, La., and earned his law degree from Tulane University in 1908. He was state representative for Assumption Parish (1912-1916); judge of the 23rd Judicial District Court comprising Assumption, Ascension, and Saint James Parishes (1916-1928); judge of the First Circuit Court of Appeals (1928-1949); and associate justice of the Louisiana State Supreme Court (1949-1954).
